New Delhi: A draft National Policy on Capital Goods has been prepared and put in public domain for comments/suggestions of stakeholders and general public, an official statement said on Friday.

Views on the draft policy, prepared by the heavy industries department in consultation with industry associations and bodies, can be submitted till October 31, it said.

"This is the most critical sector for achieving the vision of 'Make in India' as the sector has multiplier effect on other sectors of economy," the statement said, adding the policy is aimed at unlocking the potential and propelling India to become a global manufacturing powerhouse.
