Petrol price hiked by 14 paise per litre, diesel by 10 paise
Consumers of Petrol will have to face a second petrol price hike in less than a week. Consequent to the increase in dealer`s commission on petrol and diesel, it has been decided to hike petrol and diesel prices, IOC said in a statement. The dealer commission as well as retail price hike will be effective from midnight October 4.

New Delhi: Consumers of Petrol will have to face a second petrol price hike in less than a week.
Consequent to the increase in dealer's commission on petrol and diesel, it has been decided to hike petrol and diesel prices, IOC said in a statement. The dealer commission as well as retail price hike will be effective from midnight October 4.
Though diesel prices were cut by 6 paise in the last fuel prices revision, effective September 30 midnight, diesel prices have also been upped by 10 paise.
• Increase in selling price of Petrol at Delhi by Rs 0.14 per litre (inclusive of state levies)
• Increase in selling price of Diesel at Delhi by Rs 0.10 per litre (inclusive of state levies)
There will be corresponding price revisions on petrol and diesel in other states on account of change in dealer commission, added IOC.
Petrol price was lately hiked on September 30 by 28 paise a litre while diesel rate was cut by 6 paise per litre in line with international trends.
Price of non-branded petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 64.72 a litre from midnight tonight as against Rs 64.58. Similarly, diesel will cost Rs 52.61 a litre as compared to Rs 52.51 a litre.
