Philadelphia: Warning of the fallout on markets, Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said on Monday that the global economy if Britain votes to leave the European Union in the June 23 Brexit referendum.


"A UK vote to exit the European Union could have significant economic repercussions," she said in a speech on the economic outlook.

She added that the dismal US jobs report for May was "concerning" but stressed she was still "positive" on the outlook for economic growth.

Yellen highlighted a number of uncertainties facing the US economy and backed away from specific forecasts for interest rate increases, only saying they should come "gradually".
