Guwahati, June 19: Two NDFB militants were killed in an encounter with the army in lower Assam`s Nalbari district today, the police said.

The ultras exchanged fire with the army's 13 guard regiment at Kalnadi early this morning.
One of the slain insurgent was identified as Kanchal Boro while the other was yet to be named.
An AK-47 rifle, its two magazines with 20 rounds of live ammunition, five empty cartridges, a Chinese grenade, Bhutanese currency 137, Rs 125 in Indian currency and two demand letters were recovered from them, the police said.
