Varanasi, Sept 15: Uttar Pradesh BJP today said it would fight the next Parliament elections jointly with BSP, but told chief minister Mayawati that it was her responsibility to ensure that the coalition government in the state lasts its full term. BJP and BSP would jointly contest the next parliamentary elections, state BJP chief Vinay Katiyar told reporters here.
Replying to a question, he expressed confidence that the BJP-BSP coalition government in the state would complete its full term.
"However, it is the responsibility of the chief minister to ensure that the government completes its full term. I hope chief minister Mayawati does nothing which poses a danger to the coalition government." Katiyar added.

He said BJP would organise six massive public rallies in different parts of the state as part of its mass awareness campaign. Party president Venkaih Naidu would address the first such rally to be held here on September 18. Another such rally would be organised in Kanpur the next day.
BJP's 'Gaon Chalo Abhiyan' (move to the villages campaign) and training camps would be organised in the state to reactivate party workers, Katiyar said.
When asked about issuance of a fresh notification to try senior BJP leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, in the Ayodhya case, he said "we will face the case bravely."
Katiyar said the party's state executive would hold its two-day meeting at Lucknow from September 27 next in which the strategy for the next parliamentary polls would be formulated.
Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani would address the meeting on the concluding day, Katiyar said. Bureau Report
