New Delhi: Mi 5 from Xiaomi stable may finally enter the market in China soon. The Chinese smartphone maker has begun sending press invites for an event on October 19 calling it as "next generation of new conference".


Speculations have resurfaced that  Xiaomi will launch Mi5 and Mi Band 2 the same day. Mi5 is expected to be priced at 1,999 Chinese Yuan or approximately Rs 20,500. 


Going by the previously leaked features on the web, the smartphone would feature a 5.2-inch display, Gorilla Glass 4 protection and 2.5D edges. It will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X20 chipset. The Mi 5 is expected to feature 16MP rear camera and a 13MP front-facing camera, 16GB or 64GB onboard storage variants.  


A fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port,  and 3000mAh battery are also expected.
