New Delhi: Facebook is expected to start testing the option of downloading videos offline in India from July 11. Facebook is the most popular online social network, with more than 125 million average users communicating and exchanging videos and music.

So far, the social network did not offer tools for downloading video content from its pages directly.

As per reports, once the download would successfully apply, the video will, however, be available on the Facebook app as a measure of copyright protection.

Facebook has begun emphasising on videos as content because the content marketers in India, like their peers abroad, have begun to look at the video content as key differentiator while chalking out their content marketing strategy.
