New Delhi: Seldom it happens that the decision maker itself is not confident about its own status.

Something of the similar sort happened with internet search engine Google.com.

As you land up on its Safe Browsing Site Status, you can type millions of website URLs to know if they are safe to use or not.

The company itself says “Google’s Safe Browsing technology examines billions of URLs per day looking for unsafe websites. Every day, we discover thousands of new unsafe sites, many of which are legitimate websites that have been compromised. When we detect unsafe sites, we show warnings on Google Search and in web browsers. You can search to see whether a website is currently dangerous to visit.”

However, when we typed Google's own URL under the box, it stated the following:

Current status: Partially dangerous

(Some pages on google.com contain deceptive content right now.)

What's more astonishing are the Site Safety Details. One of the point states "Attackers on this site might try to trick you to download software or steal your information (for example passwords, messages, or credit card information)."
