Xiaomi rolles out MIUI 7 on Tuesday. Is your phone eligible for upgrade?
MIUI 7, the latest operating system for Xiaomi smartphones and tablets, which promises to offer enhanced themes and performance, will see the roll out on Tuesday.

New Delhi: The latest Operating System(OS) for Xiaomi smartphones and tablets MIUI 7 was made available to users starting Tuesday.
The OS had been undergoing beta testing and optimization for two month. Mi India ads that the global MIUI 7 stable version will support the following devices: Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Pad, Mi Note, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2/ Prime.
The upgrade method depends on the MIUI version you're currently using on your device. If you're using MIUI V5/MIUI 6 stable version on your device, you can update directly on your deivce via OTA, or flash the full ROMs in recovery or using Mi PC Suite.
If you're using MIUI China developer version or Global beta build, you can flash the full ROMs in recovery mode after wiping all user data.
The MIUI 7 is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has improve the functioning on themes and performance.
In India it will have a country-specific feature Interactive Visual Response (IVR), which lets users skip voice prompts when using services like banking and booking flight tickets.
There’s also a Child Mode, which would lets parents restrict which apps their children would be able to use.
