The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting had booked a flat in Parsvnath`s Exotica project in Gurgaon in 2006 paying around Rs 70 lakh for it. The flat was to be delivered by 2008-09.

Directing the developer to deliver possession of the flat within two days, the apex court bench of Justice Dipak Misra and Amitava Roy said the question of interest and compensation for the delayed possession shall be taken up by the court at a later date.

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) earlier in January had directed the builder to refund the principal amount with interest and compensation to Rathore.

Parsvnath Developers Ltd had moved the Supreme Court against the NCDRC`s order.
