David Warner bowled out - Is it the most unfortunate dismissal in cricket history?
Warner was looking to work the ball down the leg side, but it ricocheted off his hip, hit the elbow and went back to hit the stumps.
Hobart: Australian opener David Warner was dismissed in the most unfortunate manner in the second innings of the ongoing second Test against South Africa at Hobart. The swashbuckling left-hander, who was in the process of rebuilding the innings with another left-hander Usman Khawaja, was bowled by Kyle Abbott in the 23rd over of the innings.
Warner was looking to work the ball down the leg side, but it ricocheted off his hip, hit the elbow and went back to hit the stumps. He couldn't believe it, nor could coach Darren Lehmann and the rest of his team-mates.
Watch the dismissal here:
It was a huge wicket for South Africa, since Warner was batting on 45 and had already stitched 79 runs with Khawaja for the second wicket. Australia had already lost the wicket of Joe Burns who was dismissed for a duck.
At stumps on Day 3, Australia were trailing by 120 runs with 8 wickets remaining.
