New Delhi: Australian opener David Warner was cruising towards his century after giving South African bowlers a run-around since Day 1.
Warner was batting on 97 with South African pacer Dale Steyn bowling at him, when commentator Mark Nicholas brought a proud stat featuring Warner to everyone's notice.
Nicholas revealed that the Aussie hard-hitter has never been out in 90s in Test cricket.
Legendary spinner Shane Warne, who was commentating in the box during that got furious at Nicholas for brining that stat up at such a crucial time.
“Mark, sorry, what did you just say?” Warne said. “Why did you have to bring that up?”.
Right then, Warner edged a delivery from Steyn and Hashim Amla was there at slip to catch the ball.
Warner dismissed on 97.
