The incident occurred in the 95th over of the Sri Lankan innings when Mendis top-edged a short delivery from Roy towards fine leg.
New Delhi: Whenever it comes to premature celebrations, Bangladesh cricket team's name comes into the mind of every cricket fan.
In the ongoing Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Subashis Roy started celebrating the wicket of Kusal Mendis too early and later realised that the ball instead went for a six.
The incident occurred in the 95th over of the Sri Lankan innings when Mendis top-edged a short delivery from Roy towards fine leg which went into the hands of Mustfizur Rahman, who couldn't stop himself from stepping on the boundary rope after grabbing the ball.

Even Mohammad Kaif tweeted on the incident that would have reminded cricket fans of the famous premature celebration by Mushfiqur Rahim in the World T20 match against India in 2016.
"Lol ! Bangladesh continue to entertain. Umpire signals 6, bowler celebrating. Caught beyond the boundary," wrote Kaif.
