One of these funny moments happened in the 3rd Test match between Pakistan-West Indies at Sharjah on Wednesday when fast bolwer Mohammad Amir got run-out in hilarious fashion.

Amir, 24, hit Devendra Bishoo towards long-on and was admiring his shot while staying in the crease. He and his partner Wahab Riaz hoped that the ball would cross the boundary rope, but the West Indian fielder Roston Chase had a different idea.

Chase caught the ball with one hand inside the boundary but as soon as he realised that he wasn't going to take it cleanly, he threw it in. Roston got up and threw the ball towards his skipper Jason Holder, who was standing at the non-striker end to gather the ball and disloge the bails.

Here's the video of this hilarious run-out:

Before the ball was thrown towards the bowler's end, both Amir-Riaz believed that the ball is certain to cross the ropes. As soon as Chase threw the ball towards Holder, Amir realised and started to run for his life.

In the end, Amir was too slow to save his wicket.

Here's how twitteraties reacted to his dismissal:

Amir will think twice before resting on his laurels in the middle of the pitch in future.
