AAP has announced several schemes, including financial support for temple priests, scholarships for Dalit students, and expanded old-age pensions, as part of its bid to secure a fourth consecutive term in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.

These announcements of freebies come as AAP aims to secure a fourth consecutive term in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

 

Expansion Of Old-Age Pensions

AAP has expanded its old-age pension scheme by adding 80,000 new beneficiaries, raising the total number of recipients to 5.3 lakh. The government also launched a new online portal to streamline applications, which has already received 10,000 submissions.

 

Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal announced the 'Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana' if re-elected in Delhi, which promises a monthly allowance of Rs 18,000 for Hindu temple priests and gurdwara granthis.

Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana

AAP has launched a scheme to provide financial assistance to women from families with an annual income below Rs 3 lakh. Under this program, eligible women will receive a monthly stipend of  Rs 1,000, which will increase to Rs 2,100 if AAP is re-elected.

 

Dr Ambedkar Samman Scholarship Yojana

Kejriwal announced the ‘Dr Ambedkar Samman Scholarship Yojana’, which promised to cover fees as well as the cost of travel and stay for Dalit students from Delhi who secure admission to higher education at top international universities.
