New Delhi: Former Pakistani speedster, Shoaib Akhtar was once considered the world’s fastest bowler and intimidated many batsmen with his fierce speed.

Shoaib has now challenged all the cricket lovers in the UAE to hit him for a six and win Rs. 23 lakhs (USD 35,000) in return.



The sprite cricket challenge has been organised in Dubai on multiple occasions before. Out of all the participants, selected fans get to face Akhtar attempting to hit the Rawalpindi Express all the way.


As per gulfnews.com, Akhtar who has been the ambassador of the event since 2015, said: “This is a tournament aimed at bringing communities together through cricket. It is meant to touch as many lives as possible. Last year, when I visited the labour camps, I was touched by the workers’ affection. I thank the Ministry of Labour for the support given to us and a chance to do something fruitful to the society.”
