India vs Australia: Holi Break for Virat Kohli & Co; Mohammed Shami to travel with team
Indian players have already started sharing what they were doing in the break.
New Delhi: After their emphatic win in the Bengaluru Test, memebers of the Indian cricket team have been given Holi break till March 12.
The third Test of the four-match series will be played at Ranchi, starting March 16. Indian players are expected to reach the spot on March 13.
Indian players have already started sharing what they were doing in the break. Yesterday, skipper Virat Kohli shared a tweet saying, he is doing "detox at home."
Ace spinner Ravichandran Aswhin shared a team photo, featuring Abhinav Mukund, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha and Karun Nair.
Team's batting mainstay, Cheteshwar Pujara said he is enjoying "Simple joys of being home."
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, meanwhile, was promoting a new look.
Meanwhile, it's reported that pacer Mohammed Shami will be travelling with the team. He played in Bengal’s Vijay Hazare game in Chennai and spent some time in India team’s nets during Bangalore Test.
However, the right-handed bowler aggravated his injury and was subsequently not considered for the remainder of the series. India registered a 75-run win at Bengaluru to level the series.
The match was, however, plauged by DRS controversies with Aussie skipper Steve Smith getting caught in the action while requesting dressing room assistance.
