Playing for Gautam Gambhir-led India Blue, Jadeja rattled India Red by picking five-wicket hauls in both innings.

While his 10-wicket haul is a good news for Indian cricket team, it's a serious concern for the visiting New Zealand team, which has faltered int he past against Indian tweakers.

Soon after his arrival, Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson said combating spin was the biggest challenge on Indian soil.

"India is a tough place to play, particularly, in more recent years where the pitches have been very tricky. I guess [when] you throw in world-class spinners, the challenges are very tough but at the same time we see it as a very exciting opportunity. [The] previous series' here, certainly spin played a huge part, and at times batting was difficult," Williamson was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

Considering the fact that the hosts are likely to produce rank-turners once again, Kiwis picked three spinners - off-spinner Mark Craig, left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner and leg-spinner Ish Sodhi.

At a time when R Ashwin was seen as the wrecker-in-chief for the upcoming series, Jadeja's sensational spell in Duleep Trophy final would have given a new headache to the Kiwi camp.

Even in the recently concluded Test series against West Indies, Jadeja picked 10 wickets in the four-match series.
