The duo at pitch continue with their thrashing with Rahul too joining in the occasion at times. Chandimal finally replaces Hearth for Karunaratne who is more of a swing bowler with a shorter run-up. Four down the leg side by Rahul and India bring up a 50-run stand and comes up in just 8.4 overs. That's impressive indeed!
Tenth over, Karunaratne jammed the ball in and struck Rahul's pad. Huge appeal and Umpire raise his finger. Not happy and Rahul went for a review. Outside pitching, missing the stumps due to hieght and Rahul saved. Successful review for the Indians.

A new Indian opening pair for the Colombo Test – Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul. Nuwan Pradeep started off with the attack followed by Rangana Herath, with the latter being smashed for a huge six over long-on. Dhawan seems all aggressive - stepping out to strike, pulling shots through midwicket.

The Sri Lanka capital will host the second Test match between the two nations and India will like to continue their winning run in the series. Indian batsmen were on top of their with centuries from Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. Both the pacer and the spinners impressed in the Galle Test. Pujara will be playing his 50th Test match on Thursday.
