KP, who recently pulled out of the auction due to busy schedule, has been a regular supporter of IPL, despite England and Wale Cricket Board (ECB) being reluctant about its players participation in the cash-rich tournament.

The flamboyant right-hander took to Twitter on Tuesday to write, "Another SLAP in Test crickets face yesterday! A T20 specialist becomes one of the current England team's richest players!"

When a fan asked KP how Mills can be blamed for his huge IPL deal, he replied, "I don't blame him at all! I how T20 is growing the game! I'm just saying that Tests are falling way behind atm! ICC needs to act & quick!"

Mills, who was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), was the second most expensive player at this year's auction after English all-rounder Ben Stokes, who was bought for a record Rs 14.5 crore by Rising Pune Supergiants.
