Warner, who has been banned by Cricket Australia (CA) for orchestrating a ball-tampering plan on the tour of South Africa, has been barred by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from participating in this edition of the IPL after the franchise removed him as captain.

New Zealand's Kane Williamson will lead SRH in Warner's place.

Warmer, along with captain Steve Smith and batsman Cameron Bancroft, conspired to cheat during the third Test in Cape Town. Following an inquiry by CA, Smith and Warner were banned for 12 months while Bancroft was slapped with a nine-month ban.

England opening batsman Hales was bought for his base price of INR 1 crore from the Registered and Available Player Pool (RAPP) list.

Hales is the first and only England player to score a T20I century. He is also the top-ranked English player and the only one to feature in the top-10 list of the ICC T20I rankings.

Smith, who was to lead Rajasthan Royals, has also been banned from playing this edition of the IPL.
