Coming to bat after the fall of skipper Gautam Gambhir in the fourth over, Uthappa played the fifth ball with ease, showing full face of the bat, and gently driving the ball. Thanks to timing, the ball gained momentum and managed to beat two diving fielders – AB de Villiers from mid-off and Stuart Binny from mid-on – and a four.

Ashamed with their effort, both the fielders took some time to get up and get into the match, even as a dejected Virat Kohli's failed to hide his disappointment.

Despite a good start from Sunil Narine, the hosts were bowled out for a paltry 131 with Uthappa contributing 11 runs off nine balls.

This is only the second instance in 55 match for KKR to be bowled out at home.
