New Delhi: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) opener Hashim Amla on Sunday hit his second century of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 during their match against the Gujarat Lions (GL).

Regarded as one of the most classical batsmen of modern times, Amla showed his imperious form to notch up the hundred in just 59 balls.


The 34-year-old from Durban reached his hundred with a six off the fourth ball in the last over, bowled by Basil Thampi.


His knock included eight fours and five sixes.


He reached his fifty in 35 balls, with a single off the second ball of the 13th over, bowled by Ankit Soni.


His ton help KXIP post a good total of 189 for 3 in 20 overs.
