New Delhi: While MS Dhoni has always stayed away from giving any controversial statements to media, his upcoming biopic reveals that he wanted three senior players out.

In the promo, Sushant Singh Rajput (playing the role of MS Dhoni in the movie) said:


“They don’t fit into my team.”


To this a selector remarked, “He is trying to remove the people who promoted him so much. Looks like this guy is not going to spare anyone,” a selector said in the trailer.


The skipper shot back: “Sir, we are all national servants and we are all doing national duty.”

A report in Hindustan Times although claims that Dhoni had actually objected the selection of one player but it was tweaked by the movie makers to create confusion over the identity of the player.


It is understood that this specific conversation happened before the 2008 CB series in Australia and Mahi led the established stars like Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir.


Recently, former chief selector Sandeep Patil revealed that MS Dhoni did not trigger the drop of Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh.


It still remains unclear as to were the players Dhoni wanted out of the team.
