WEST INDIES 1ST INNINGS

A good day for West Indies, despite losing 4 wickets for 68 runs. The 83 runs partnership between Chase-Brathwaite and another 83 runs between Brathwaite-Dowrich was the key for visitors. West Indies trail by 37 runs with 4 wickets in hand.

OVER 77 | SCORE 244/6 (Brathwaite 95, Holder 6)

STUMPS!

Riaz broke the 6th wicket stand for West Indies, he castled Dowrich for 47 runs against the run of play. Brathwaite is 5 runs short of his 5th Test century.

OVER 70 | SCORE 215/5 (Brathwaite 84, Dowrich 35)

It's been a good partnership from Windies point of view, Brathwaite has found a good partner in the form of Dowrich. Misbah & co have tried every possible bowler to break this stand but so far they are unsuccessful. Although in 60th over from Azhar Ali, Yonis Khan puts down an oppourtunity at first slip of Shane, when he was at 21.

OVER 60 | SCORE 182/5 (Brathwaite 72, Dowrich 15)

A good phase for the West Indies, as they score 31 runs in last 10 overs. Not a good phase from Pakistan's point of view as Wahab Riaz was warned officially by the umpire for running on the pitch.

OVER 50 | SCORE 151/5 (Brathwaite 61, Dowrich 0)

Mohammad Amir gives Pakistan the much needed breakthrough, removes Roston Chase after the West Indian had completed his fifty.

OVER 40 | SCORE 119/4 (Brathwaite 49, Chase 28)

Partnership between Brathwaite and Chase crosses the 50-run mark. Extremely required recovery from West Indies but the job is far from over. The pair needs to cross the 200-run mark together if they are to get back in the game.

OVER 30 | SCORE 88/4 (Brathwaite 33, Chase 14)

Brathwaite-Chase's partnership now 20 runs after Mohammad Amir pick up another West Indies wicket after lunch. Blackwood gone for 23.

OVER 16 | SCORE 38/3 (Brathwaite 21, Blackwood 0)

LUNCH! The game seems to be drifting away from West Indies sooner than expected. Babar and Yasir pick up a wicket each to hand the visitors their 3rd loss of the day.

WICKET: DM Bravo c Mohammad Amir b Zulfiqar Babar 11 (29b)

OVER 10 | SCORE 31/1 (Bravo 11, Brathwaite 14)

Better from the visitors! Bravo and Brathwaite battle it out as Amir-Wahab continue to bowl.

OVER 5 | SCORE 19/1 (Bravo 8, Brathwaite 5)

Not the start West Indies wanted, lost Johnson in only the 4th over of the match. Wahab Riaz strike early to give Pakistan the boost.

PAKISTAN 1ST INNINGS

OVER 90.5 | SCORE 281/10 (Babar 1)

Joseph removes both Yasir and Amir in the 91st over to restrict Pakistan on 281. Can the West Indies batsmen bat throughout the day and put on 200+ score on board?

WICKET: Yasir Shah b Joseph 12 (32b)

WICKET: Mohammad Amir b Joseph 20 (31b)

OVER 85 | SCORE 256/8 (Amir 7, Yasir 1)

As expected, Bishoot-Gabriel begin proceedings for West Indies with the ball. Certain test for Amir and Yasir to see out the first few overs.

Devendra Bishoo and Shanon Gabriel were outstanding for the visitors on Day 1, picking up 4 and 3 wickets respectively after Pakistan were once crusing at 230 for the loss of 4 wickets.

It was an extremely contrasting day for Pakistan with the bat, as their batsmen either secured half-centuries or failed to even register a double-digit score.

Sami Aslam was the hosts top-scorer with 74 with Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan and Sarfaraz Ahmed following up with 53, 51 and 51 respectively.

Pakistan will resume the day on 255/8 as West Indies are expected to continue with the in-form bowling duo of Shannon Gabriel and Devendra Bishoo since beginning.

Ahmed and Misbah had added 80 for the fifth wicket but Pakistan lost four wickets in the space of 18 runs to slump at 248-8.

Jason Holder will be targeting to wrap-up the remaining two wickets in the first 5 overs, restricting the opponents to a score of less than 270.

Holder & Co. also would be determined to bat through the whole second day if they are to boost their chances of preventing another clean sweep to the hands of Pakistan.

Windies have already suffered a 3-0 whitewash against Pakistan, both in T20Is & ODIs and are trailing 2-0 in the Tests with the third match currently underway.

For the match, Pakistan brought back pacemen Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz -- rested for the second Test -- in place of Sohail Khan and Rahat Ali.

West Indies also made two changes from the Abu Dhabi Test, with fit-again wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich replacing Shai Hope and paceman Alzarri Joseph coming in for Miguel Cummins.

The match resumes at 11:30 IST with Pakistan's Yasir Shah batting at 1 and Mohammad Amir at 8.
