New Delhi: Australian fast bowling all rounder, Pat Cummins was pretty excited on making his Test comeback in the national team after 6 years of absence. His return, however, wasn't as satisfactory as he would have liked after being bowled by Ravindra Jadeja on just the second delivery he faced on Friday.

Cummins, who last played for Australia in the traditional format of the game in March 2011 – his debut – has been struggling with injuries ever since and going into the Ranchi Test, where he replaced injured Mitchell Starc – expressed his readiness for the 5-day format. ''I think this is easily the most prepared I've been for the test match in terms of body, form and the length that I’ve been playing the last few months,’’ Cummins said in Ranchi.

He might have been all geared up for the return, but Jadeja didn't let him stay for long after bowling a peacher of a delivery.

Australia captain Steve Smith had left Indian bowlers frustrated after taking his individual contribution past 150 runs. Glenn Maxwell, on the other hand, cracked his maiden Test century on day two of the third contest against India.

Indian left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja struck three times in the morning session, including the prized scalp of Maxwell, as the visitors reached 401-7 at lunch in Ranchi.
