New Delhi: It is now an major shock for the home side as Skipper Virat Kohli has been ruled out of fourth Test against Australia at Dharamsala, as reported by hosts broadcaster Star Sports India.
It was during the third Test at Ranchi when the 28-year-old had sustained a shoulder injury whilst fielding. The injury sidelined him for a day and Ajinkya Rahane was the standby captain. He returned after a day's rest, only to depart early. However, things ahead of series-deciding Test went different and added much to the concern of the home team.
The skipper missed practice session at Dharamsala to undergo medical Test. Although adamant to return back 100 per cent fit, it is only the physio Patrick Farhat who can give him the green signal.
"If I'm 100 per cent fit for the game is the only condition that I will take the field, said Virat, "The physio wants to give it a bit more time till I can test myself and will probably make a call on it later tonight or tomorrow before the game. We'll have to give it that much time more for me to make that call with the physiotherapist."
Ajinkya Rahane, will now lead the Indian team to the finale of Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Dharamsala, while left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav is all set to make his debut.
