Put into bat by the visiting Pakistan team, West Indies struggled to reach 100 with their top five batsmen gone inside 27th over, and score at 71. But a 6th wicket stand of 118 runs between Chase and Shane Dowrich helped the hosts put a fight-back.

But breaking that century stand was a brilliant catch by Riaz at long-off. Chase played a lofted drive against Yasir Shah, clearing the mid-off. But Riaz tracked the ball over his shoulder and completed the catch near long-off. What made the catch a brilliant one was how Riaz managed to control his body after landing, stopping his sliding body from touching the boundary rope.

It happened off the third ball of the 70th over. First day's play was stopped early due to bad light. West Indies were 244/7 after 81 overs' play.
