Delhi cop commits suicide at Uttam Nagar metro station
The incident took place at platform number 1 around 11 am on Wednesday.
New Delhi: A sub-inspector of Delhi Police allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at Uttar Nagar West metro station, the police said.
The incident took place at platform number 1 around 11 am on Wednesday.
The A 50-year-old was rushed to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The victim has been identified as sub-inspector Hans Ram Barla. He was was on a medical leave for a month.
The metro train, under which Barla was crushed, was on its way to Noida from Dwarka on the Blue Line.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
