In a major development in connection with MCD elections 2017, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday night announced an election committee.
New Delhi: In a major development in connection with MCD elections 2017, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday night announced an election committee.
The election committee will oversee all the election preparations, including candidate selection process.
Who all are there in the committee?
The committee is being headed by BJP MP Manoj Tiwari.
Also, the committee has all the seven BJP MPs of Delhi.
Moreover, Delhi BJP in-charge Shyam Jaju, co-incharge Tarun Chugh, Union sports minister and former state chief Vijay Goel, national general secretary Anil Jain, former Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay, LOP and BJP MLA Vijender Gupta, all the three state unit general secretaries, Delhi unit organisational secretary Sidharthan, Pawan Sharma and president of women's wing Poonam Parashar Jha, according to a report TOI.
MCD elections 2017
The date for the elections to the three municipal corporations in the national capital was postponed by a day to 23 April in view of the CBSE board examination.
The date for counting of votes has also been extended to 26 April.
