Notably, two exit polls have predicted a landslide victory for the BJP in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls giving the party over 200 of the 270 wards, where the election was held. The election was postponed in two wards due to the death of candidates.

The MCD Election results are scheduled to be out on April 26, 2017.

Taking to Twitter, Bagga said: “Heard 34 MLAs of @ArvindKejriwal wants his resignation as CM if AAP loose MCD elections.”

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has warned of launching a "movement" if the MCD exit poll results, which have predicted a BJP sweep, come true.

The AAP was born out of a movement and it will not hesitate to go back to its roots, Kejriwal said yesterday.
