New Delhi: A jewellery shop was looted in Delhi's Karol Bagh market on Sunday.

Gold valued at Rs 1 crore was stolen from the shop.


The owner of the shop has claimed that one of his staff members might be involved in the robbery.


The police have registered a case and initiated investigation in connection with the Rs 1 crore gold robbery case.


Gold robberies in Delhi in 2017


There have been few instances of gold robberies in the national capital this year.


Unidentified burglars used gas torch to cut open the locks of two jewellery manufacturing units in Central Delhi's Karol Bagh and decamped with ornaments worth Rs 12 crore on the Diwali night.


Two employees of an Ahmedabad-based jeweller were allegedly robbed of gold worth over Rs 1 crore in August this year.


Rs 8 lakh cash and 2.5 Kg gold was looted from a jewellery shop in Rohini in July.
