"No work has been done to regularise these unauthorised colonies since approved by the Centre," President of BJP's Delhi unit Manoj Tiwari said.

Addressing thousands of villagers at “Dehat Samvaad” (rural dialogue) near Najafagarh, Tiwari said his party would develop Delhi into a cosmopolitan city as desired by PM Narendra Modi if it comes top power in the next elections.

The heads of 360 villages, among others, attended the event in Dhansa village.

"We shall seek the intervention of Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung in the matter of agricultural power tariff hike," IANS quoted Tiwari as saying.

He said the problem faced due to November 8 demonetisation is temporary and the farmers and labourers would be its biggest beneficiaries in near future.

Tiwari was appointed the new chief of the Delhi BJP on November 30.
