New Delhi: The man arrested for sending threatening mail to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Urjit Patel has been sent to police custody till March 6.The 34-year-old accused, identified as Vaibhav Baddalwar, was arrested in Nagpur on Friday.

Following this, he was produced in the Mumbai Court on Saturday.


Earlier on March 2, the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell began their investigation into the matter after a complaint was lodged by an RBI representative, stating that the accused had sent a threatening mail to the RBI Governor asking him to quit.


According to reports, the accused is an unemployed post-graduate student, who threatened to kill the RBI boss and his family if he didn`t resign immediately.
