The big news is that Class 10 students outside Delhi or Harayana will not have to face the re-examination of their Mathematics paper. And even for Class 10 students in Delhi and Haryana, the re-examination has not been confirmed.

Swarup said the investigation into the leak of the Class 10 Mathematics examination paper is still underway, and indicated that the paper may only have been circulated in Delhi and Haryana.

He said the decision on whether or not to hold a re-exam of Class 10 Mathematics in Delhi and Haryana would be made within the next 15 days, based on the information that the investigation finds, the Education Secretary said.

"We have made the best decision possible based on the information that is available to us," Swarup said.

He also assured that those responsible for the leak and for circulting the papers would be brought to justice. "Our immediate concern of the children who have suffered and this decision is in that context. We will nail the person who did this," he said, news agency ANI reported.
