New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to conduct the civil services preliminary examination 2018 on June 3. The application for which will be obtainable by February 7.

This year the preliminary examination is scheduled on June 18 and the candidates who are yet to download their admit cards are adviced to do so at the earliest.


The examination is conducted for recruitment in various prestigious posts in the administration such as IAS, IRS, IPS, IFS etc.


The preliminary examination consists of two papers and the duration of each paper is of two hours.


The question papers are set in both Hindi and English language.


Educational criteria -


- Candidates must possess a graduation degree in any stream, under any university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC)


- Students who have appeared in the qualifying exam and are yet to receive their results can also apply provided they submit the marksheet and qualification
