Chamba, Sept 10: Combing operations and patrolling has been intensified in Chamba district of Himachal adjoining Jammu and Kashmir to keep up pressure on terrorists in the wake of encounters between terrorists and para-military forces in the neighbouring Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir. According to Ajay Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Chamba, the security forces including Himachal Armed Police, Indian reserve battalion and Indo-Tibetan border police (ITBP) had been directed to step up vigil along the 265-km long border and keep strict watch on strangers and suspicious persons and verify their antecedents.
