Srinagar, July 05: The state unit of National Conference today condemned the attack on state minister Peerzada Mohammad Syed by militants saying that violence could not solve any problems.
Srinagar, July 05: The state unit of National Conference today condemned the attack on state minister Peerzada Mohammad Syed by militants saying that violence could not solve any problems.
"We strongly condemn the attack on Syed. Violence cannot solve any problems but leads to destruction," senior NC leader Ghulam Mohiuddin Shah said in a statement here.
Shah, who is the leader of the opposition in the assembly, prayed for Syed's speedy recovery and expressed his condolences to the family of the slain in the attack on the minister.
Syed, a senior Congress leader and minister for rural development in the coalition government, was injured in an attack by militants at Larnoo village in Kokernag area of
Anantnag district yesterday. A civilian was killed and many others were injured in the attack.
