Third Front to contest all seats in Delhi
New Delhi, Nov 05: The Third Front comprising parties like JD (S), NCP and LJP today decided to contest almost all the 70 assembly seats in Delhi and campaign jointly in most of the constituencies in the capital.
New Delhi, Nov 05: The Third Front comprising parties like JD (S), NCP and LJP today decided to contest almost all the 70 assembly seats in Delhi and campaign jointly in most of the constituencies in the capital.
After a meeting of the front at the residence of former Prime Minister and JD (S) president H D Deve Gowda, LJP leader and former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan told reporters that state unit presidents of the front constituents would work out the seat-sharing arrangement.
He said the wining capability of the candidates would be given utmost priority in selection of nominees and added that the exercise would be completed in the next two to three days.
To a question, he said depending on the outcome of the performance of the front, similar exercise could be undertaken in other states and even at the national level.
Parties like Samajwadi Janata Party led by former Prime Minsiter Chandra Shekhar, Rashtriya Lok Dal headed by Ajit Singh and RPI led by Prakash Ambedkar are also in the front. Bureau Report
