Tirupati, Feb 13: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has sought to play down the recent by-election for Vedurukuppam Zilla Parishad in Chittoor district going in favour of the Congress. ''It will not be a harbinger of results of the upcoming elections,'' he told newspersons in the town on his arrival from Puttaparthi in Chittoor, about 70 km from here, yesterday.
Citing by the response of the people to the three-day flag festival organised in the state by the TDP, Naidu expressed his confidence that the TDP would win all the 294 seats in the state.
He pointed out that the TDP had increased its strength in ZPs while the Congress' strength had declined. There was no anti-incumbancy in the state, the CM added.
