Hyderabad, July 19: A naxalite was killed and four others injured in an exchange of fire with police near Chintriyala in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh today. However, the injured naxals managed to escape into the thick forest, police said here.
A special police party on combing operations came across the five naxals, who opened fire on seeing them, they said adding one naxal was killed on the spot when police opened fire, which lasted for about 30 minutes.
A massive hunt has been launched in the forest to nab the ultras, police added. Bureau Report
