Pulwama Superintendent of Police narrowly escaped but one of his guard died on the spot and three others were critically injured when militants fired on his vehicle at Kellar in south Kashmir on Wednesday afternoon. Official sources told a news agency that the attack at Kellar occured when the SP was on his way to a nearby village. The injured had been hospitalised, sources said. The militants managed to escape before security forces could retaliate. A manhunt has been launched to nab those responsible for the attack. Bureau Report
