Bangalore, Oct 18: Agnel Gladwin (Maharashtra), Yuki Bhambri (Delhi), G K Shwetha (Karnataka) and Nandita Krishnan (Tamil Nadu) were today qualified to represent India at Nike Junior Tour International Masters tennis tournament to be held in South Africa's Sun City. Nike officials said here that 25 countries were taking part in the tournament slated to start on October 31.
Gladwin (boys under-14), Bhambri (boys under-12), Shwetha (girls under-14) and Nandita (girls under-12) emerged tops in their respective age categories in the four-day NJT National Masters which concluded here today.
At the National Masters held at the Nike Bhupathi Tennis Village here, 32 finalists from the four zonal tournaments, held in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata And Hyderabad, competed.
Nike officials said the four winners are also scheduled to play a world team tennis tournament. They said NJT is a world class junior tennis concept developed by Nike to promote young and budding tennis players.
