New Delhi, Jun 02: A cycling team from Bangladesh has set out to prove nothing is impossible if one has the will and sincerity of purpose.
Not even undertaking a world tour involving 56 countries on a humble bicycle.
The cyclists -- Kamal Kumar Saha, Ehsan Khan, Mohd Momanur Rahman and Nasimul Haque -- are determined to complete their expedition in 18 months though they know well that they may have to fight against numerous odds and it will not be easy at all.
They also hold firm belief in the message that they intend to convey to the people across the globe -- we are for a war-free world. Their anti-war message has already created problems for the foursome with the embassies of UK and USA showing reluctance in granting them visas.
"We had anticipated such a problem because of the war on Iraq. But we will not compromise on the theme even though it may mean travelling a couple of countries less," said Momanur, who arrived here along with his team this weekend.
"Also because of our anti-war theme a multinational beverages company did not come forward to support our cause financially," said the 30-year-old cyclist.
"But we are undeterred. We have pooled in our resources and collected Rs 12 lakh entirely on our own," he said.
Nowithstanding the "irritants", the team is very excited especially at the prospect of travelling to Pakistan.
