TDP MLA`s arrest on basis of strong proof: Bhujbal
Mumbai, Sept 07: Justifying the arrest of former Andhra Pradesh minister and TDP legislator Krishna Yadav by Maharashtra Police in the stamp paper scam, Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal today said any arrest in the case was made only on the basis of strong proof against those involved.

Bhujbal, who also holds home portfolio, told reporters after attending a meeting of state NCP ministers called by party president Sharad Pawar here, that he was getting more information from the special investigating team (sit) on Yadav's involvement in the scam.
Yadav is second politician to be arrested in the scam after sitting legislator from the state, Anil Gote. Bhujbal said various issues including medical admissions, and drought condition were discussed at the meeting.
On medical admissions, he said government will take the final decision only after seeking the views of the Mumbai High Court.
Bhujbal said Pawar instructed the NCP ministers to immediately initiate steps to provide help to the drought affected regions of the state. All NCP ministers, except food and civil supplies minister Suresh Jain and NCP state unit president R R Patil, attended the meeting.
