Shimla, Apr 03: In a strong rejoinder to opposition BJP, two senior Congress leaders today chided its spokesman for claiming that chief minister Vir Bhadra Singh was putting pressure on investigating officers to hush up the enquiry
relating to several forest cases.
Describing as "preposterous" and a "bundle of lies" the BJP statement in this regard, MLAs Dr Prem Singh and Harsh Wardhan said, "There was no question of putting any pressure on investigating agencies."
They said that the Chief Minister had already stated that there would be no witch hunting and the law would take its own course.

Independent MLA Kuldeep Singh Pathania also denied BJP allegations that a case registered against him by the previous government had been withdrawn by the present one.
He claimed that no case had been registered against him or pending in any court but he was associated with an accused in a case titled state versus Subhash Chand which was registered by former industries minister Kishori Lal.
He also claimed that no case was registered against him by HPCC president Vidya Stokes and allegations in this regard were baseless, unfounded and politically motivated.
