CISCO announces new security and VPN products
New Delhi, June 16: Networking major CISCO Systems today announced a series of new security and virtual private network products and technologies to support its integrated network security strategy.

"Information and network security has become the top most technology concern of chief information officers in India, leaving behind their other major concerns of poor bandwidth and higher costs," Naresh Wadhwa, vice president, CISCO Systems said in a statement here.
With this offering, CISCO intends to provide flexible and manageable network deployments for full service branch and teleworker network environments, the statement added.

Opposition stage walkout in assembly over Marad issue
Thiruvananthapuram, June 16: Expressing dissatisfaction over government measures in rehabilitating 400 odd families and restoring peace in marad area in Kozhikode after the May 2 caranage, CPI-M led Left Democratic Front (LDF) opposition today walked out of the Kerala Assembly protesting the Speaker's refusal to allow adjournment motion on the matter.
Chief minister, A K Antony in a reply to the notice for adjournment motion said government effort was to rehabilitate the families who had left the place after restoring normalcy in the area.
So far, 23 families have returned and police was providing all protection to them, he said.
There was need to allay the fears and apprehensions of the people in the area and also those who had left the place, he said.
Co-operaton of all including opposition parties and media was needed to bring back things to normal, he said. Reacting to the comments made by V K S Mammed Koya, (CPI-M) on the notice for motion, Antony said member's remark on the issue would only increase the divide between the two communities.
Government did not think that a debate by adjourning the house would solve any purpose for restoring peace in the area, Antony said.
After considering the remark of chief minister, Speaker Vakkom Purushothaman disallowed the motion.
