NCW seeks police report on AIIMS rape case
New Delhi, June 10: Taking cognizance of the alleged rape of a 28-year-old patient by two employees of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, National Commission for Women today asked the police to submit a report into the incident at the earliest and decided to meet the victim.
New Delhi, June 10: Taking cognizance of the alleged rape of a 28-year-old patient by two employees of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, National Commission for Women today asked the police to submit a report into the incident at the earliest and decided to meet the victim.
"The commission has written to the police commissioner seeking report into the incident. A team of the commission will also meet the victim soon to get the facts of the case," NCW sources said.
The victim, a kidney stone patient, was allegedly raped yesterday afternoon after being lured into the staff quarters by an x-ray technician and a medical record attendant on the promise that they would fix an appointment with a doctor.
The police has, meanwhile, arrested the two accused.
