Rajahmundry, (AP) Apr 26: One TDP activist was killed and two others were injured as Congress and TDP supporters clashed outside a polling booth in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh today, police said. Trouble began over forming of queue before commencement of polling at Pallam village and soon arguments turned into a clash with activists of both parties pelting stones at each other, they said.

Some Congress workers stabbed P Srinu and Palladi Babji of TDP, in which Sriram of Congress was also injured, police said. Later, Srinu succumbed to injuries while the other injured were admitted to a hospital.

Police officials rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control after which polling, which was stopped for an hour, commenced. Bureau Report
