Tirupati, Oct 17: In a bid to prevent militant attacks at the hill shrine near here, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthamams has decided to ban cellular phones in Tirumala, a TTD official said today. Concerned cellular companies would be soon asked to remove their towers in the hills, TTD executive officer Ajeya Kallam said. The decision was taken on the advise of C Subramaniam, who is conducting a high level inquiry into the blasts targeted against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on October 1.
